Programming Game is an incredibly difficult survival mmo, played through JavaScript and TypeScript.
While what you choose to do in the game is up to you, the primary goal is to seek glory and rise in the ranks of the arena.
To do so, you'll need to gather resources, craft equipment, and fight enemies.
Parties
You can form a party with other players, and work together to achieve a common goal. This is highly recommended, as the game involves a journey over a vast world, and more allies means more resources to aid your survival.
Combat
Combat happens in real time, and is similar to traditional MMOs.
Threat
Attacking enemies will increase their perception of how dangerous you are. The more dangerous you are, the more likely they are to attack you.
Healing allies will also increase your threat against that unit's enemies, but to a lesser degree than dealing damage.
Death
Death in the world of Programming Game is punishing. You can respawn infinitely, but you lose all of your inventory and equipment.
The Arena
The arena operates on a different realm that the overworld. Your characters can temporarily exist on both realms, with the version in the arena being a projection of the version in the overworld.
Items and equipment from the overworld are available in the arena, and their consumption will not impact the overwold.
It's best to stay as prepared as possible, if you are naked in the overworld, you will be naked in the arena and likely lose rating.
If your party is defeated in the arena, members will lose arena rating, but not none of their inventory.
